Bobbi Strang

Bobbi Strang serves as the president of GLAA. Previously she has served on the boards of GLOV (Gays and Lesbians Opposing Violence) and the Gertrude Stein Democrats.
John Becker
Vice President for Political Affairs

John Becker is an LGBT activist, writer, and blogger and is thrilled to be joining the GLAA team as vice president.
Jose Gutierrez
Vice President of Membership
Jose Gutierrez is a local and national long time human rights and social justice activist, immigration advocate, Latinx LGBTQ historian, artist, writer and a poet.
Gary Collins
Treasurer

Gary spent twenty years in the US Navy deployed on aircraft carriers and worked as an a P-3 Orion aviation flight crew engineer, before retiring in 2001.



GLAA Logo
Founded in 1971, GLAA is an all-volunteer, non-partisan, non-profit political organization that defends the civil rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in the Nation's Capital.

GLAA lobbies the D.C. Council; monitors government agencies; educates and rates local candidates; and works in coalitions to defend the safety, health and equal rights of LGBT families. GLAA remains the nation's oldest continuously active gay and lesbian civil rights organization.
