Evans presses city administrator on DOH Rulemaking

Date: Tue, 10 Aug 2004

Dear Robert:

Please find attached the following e-mail from my constituent, Robert Summersgill of the Gay and Lesbian Activists Alliance. I want to associate myself with Mr. Summersgill's comments on the proposed regulations for the Ticket to Work program, and support his recommendation that the language be changed to incorporate domestic partners into the proposed rule. Such a change would be thoroughly consistent with the public policy direction the Council and Mayor have been taking to expand domestic partnership rights and responsibilities. I would also appreciate your looking into why the comments submitted by GLAA for the record were not taken into account in this process, as they seem to have conscientiously submitted such comments during the public comment period. Thank you for your attention to this matter and I look forward to your response.

Jack
