Thanks, Chief, for clearing this up so quickly. GLAA looks forward to continuing to work with you.

Thanks to you too, Jack, for raising your respected voice.

And thanks to Brett for helping out even though he was overseas.

All, let me start by saying the MPD will not protest the relocation Ziegfeld's/Secrets. This was obviously a misunderstanding on the part of the PSA lieutenant who attended the meeting and the District Commander. If the relocation is approved, I look forward to working with the club owners to ensure a security plan is drafted to ensure the safety of all parties.

Rick - I will be asking Chief Lanier to withdraw any MPD protest to this matter. There are instances where it is appropriate for MPD to take a position - especially when there is an existing establishment with a clear history of public safety concerns. To me this clearly does not fit such a scenario since it involves the mere moving of Ziegfeld's/Secrets to a proposed new location, and my distinct impression is they have always had a pretty good record of operation in the past.

Sincerely,

Jack
