Out: How to Help Stop Chechnya’s Gay Concentration Camps

The persecution of gay people in Chechnya has only worsened since I wrote about it in my Blade column last week. Hilton Dresden at Out magazine lists several things you can do:

  • Join GLAAD in calling upon American UN ambassador Nikki Haley to condemn the attacks;
  • Sign a Change.org petition created by Russian activist Igor Yasin calling upon the Prosecutor General of Russia to investigate the attacks;
  • Join the Human Rights Campaign in calling on U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to condemn the attacks;
  • Sign a petition by Amnesty International calling for an end to the atrocities;
  • Email the Russian Embassy; and
  • Contact the Russian LGBT network.
